Procurement Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Deerfield Beach Housing Authority to provide for a procurement system of quality and integrity; provide for the fair and equitable treatment of all persons or firms involved in purchasing by DBHA; ensure that supplies and services (including construction) are procured efficiently, effectively, and at the most favorable prices available to the DBHA; promote competition in contracting; and assure that DBHA purchasing actions are in full compliance with applicable Federal standards, HUD regulations, State, and local laws.
Davis Bacon Act
The Davis Bacon Act was enacted in 1931 to require the inclusion of minimum wage rates for labors and mechanics employed on the site of Federal government contracts
for construction, alteration or repair, painting and decorating of public buildings and public works. The Act regulations are found in Title 40 U.S.C. 276a relative to the Davis Bacon Act.
